Contactless read/write IDIC® designed for applications in the 100-kHz or 150-kHz frequency band. Especially tested and pre-configured for use as a Animal-ID tag according the standards ISO 11784 and ISO 11785. There it supports the very common FDX-B mode but also the FDX-A mode which is not only used in Animal ID but also in Access Control applications in FSK modulated systems.
A single coil connected to the chip serves as the IC's power supply and bi-directional communication interface. The antenna and chip together form a transponder or tag. The on-chip 128-bit user EEPROM (16 bytes with 8 bits each) can be read and written block-wise from a reader. This device is optimized for maximum read range. Programming is possible, but the write range is limited. The chip can be locked after loading the application-specific data into the device.
