Description
The RTC6628U is a RF front-end module (FEM) with transmit/receive chain for 802.11b/g/n WLAN applications. The device consists of a power amplifier (PA) with power detector, a DPDT diversity switch and a low-pass filter (LPF) for harmonic rejection. The module is designed to operate in 2.4GHz ISM band with low loss and large output power. A CMOS compatible digital enable/disable function is also included that allows power savings during off mode. The antenna ports are switched between transmit and receive. All the input and output ports are internally matched to 50Ω, no external RF matching component is required. In the transmitting path, the FEM has a typical gain of 25dB from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz, and delivers 17dBm output power under 3% EVM OFDM 54Mbps modulation. In the receiving path, the typical insertion loss is 1dB. The RTC6628U is packaged in 24-lead surface mount package QFN 3mmx4 mm with lead-free RoHS compliant.
